The final version for Linux Mint 15 has been launched and comes with two distinct flavors, Cinnamon and MATE.
According to the developers, Linux Mint 15 “Olivia” is the most ambitious project so far and they are aiming to incorporate a lot of new features.
Highlights of Linux Mint 15:
- EFI support has been implemented;
- The Software Manager has received some new features and bug fixes;
- The Update Manager is now able to refresh the APT cache in user mode;
- MATE has been updated to version 1.6, and features almost 2000 commits;
- Cinnamon has been updated to version 1.8;
- The Nemo file manager has received an overhaul;
- Caja, the MATE file manager, features an improved places section within the sidebar.
