Kubuntu 13.10 Alpha 1 Officially Released for FREE Download

Canonical announced the immediate availability for download and testing of the first Alpha release for the upcoming Kubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) operating system.

Kubuntu 13.10 Alpha 1 (Saucy Salamander) has been launched along with a number of other Ubuntu flavors, incorporating a lot of new features.


Highlights of Kubuntu 13.10 Alpha 1 (Saucy Salamander):
- KDE Plasma and Applications 4.11 Beta 1 has been integrated in the distribution;
- Muon Discover, a new tool to discover and install applications, has been added;
- Linux kernel has been updated to version 3.9.0.7 Ubuntu Linux kernel, which is based on the upstream v3.9.7 Linux kernel.
