How to Block Websites on a Computer without using any Software

Hi Everyone, Today I just pick out a simple topic that is ” How to block a website on a computer without using any software”. With it you can block your private sites from your family members or any others. You can also block all the porn sites and many other similar sites using this method. How to Block a site :

1. First Go to My computer.

2. Click on Address Bar showing under the Standard Buttons.

3. Now clear all the Previous text and copy the following text.

     C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

and paste it in the address bar then hit the Enter Button.

4. A new Open with Window will appear after clicking the enter button you must Select the last application (WordPad) and click the OK Button.

5. Now Type 127.0.0.2 Under the 1270.0.1   and type your site URL in the front of 1270.0.2 that looks like this:

127.0.0.1       localhost
127.0.0.2       www.your-site.com

6. Now Save the Hosts file by Pressing Ctrl+S and close it.

Your Site Has been Blocked! try to open it through your browser. It will not open.

If you want to unblock it again. just remove your site URL and extra line that you have added in the Hosts file (1270.0.2)

If you want to block more sites increase the last number of 127.0.0.1 - sitename to 124.0.02 - sitename then 124.0.03 - sitename, 124.0.04 - sitename, and so on.

And you are Done...!
